House removalists move your household belongings from one home to another: furniture, appliances, boxes and everything else on your inventory. A Perth removalist arrives with a truck sized to your load, protects the furniture, loads and straps it, drives it to your new address and unloads it into the rooms you choose.
Every quote starts with the inventory. The number of bedrooms, the large and heavy items, the boxes, the stairs and lifts at both addresses and the distance between them decide the truck, the crew and the time the move takes. That is why an accurate item list matters more than anything else you send.
Urgent Pro connects you with verified independent removalists across the Perth metro area, from apartments in East Perth, West Perth and Northbridge to established homes in Subiaco and Mount Lawley and family homes in the northern, southern and eastern suburbs.
Part of every house move
Added to your quote or booked separately
Moving a business or office? That is a separate office removalist booking.
Whatever the property, the move follows the same logic: home size sets the inventory, the inventory sets the truck and crew, and the crew and access set the time. In Perth that ranges from inner-city apartments and units to older double-brick homes, two-storey houses and family homes on larger suburban blocks.
| Home size | What usually moves | Typical crew |
|---|---|---|
| Single item or small part move | A couch, fridge or a few pieces of furniture | One mover may suit, depending on weight and access |
| Studio or 1 bedroom | Bed, sofa, small dining set, fridge, washing machine, boxes | Usually two movers |
| 2 bedroom | Two bedrooms of furniture, living and dining, appliances, boxes | Usually two movers |
| 3 bedroom | Full family home contents plus outdoor furniture and garage items | Two or three movers |
| 4 bedroom or larger | Large household inventory, often with heavy or specialist items | Three or more movers, quoted on inventory |
These are guides, not fixed rules. The crew and truck in your quote are set from your actual inventory and access, and a two-person crew is needed for most whole-home moves and anything that takes two people to lift.
A house move covers the whole household. Choose a room to see what is commonly on the inventory.

Label every box with the room it belongs in so it can be placed straight into that room. Boxes you pack yourself are moved with care, but damage inside owner-packed boxes is only covered if the crew handled them negligently. For a room-by-room method, read a room-by-room packing guide.
Every house move booked through Urgent Pro follows the same sequence on moving day, from the first walkthrough to the final sign-off.

From your first request to the last box in the right room, here is what to expect.
Send both addresses, your moving date, the home size and an inventory, plus stairs, lifts, parking and any heavy or fragile items. Photos help.
You receive a GST-inclusive quote based on inventory, access and distance. Once you accept, a verified removalist is assigned, and their name and ABN appear on your Booking Confirmation.
Your provider protects, loads, transports and places everything room by room. If anything changes on the day, you approve the extra cost before the work goes ahead.
Verified provider. Clear quote. No surprises.
Access at both ends of the move changes how long it takes, and sometimes how many movers and what equipment are needed. A ground-level home with the truck parked at the front door is the quickest move there is. Every flight of stairs, every lift trip and every metre between the truck and the door adds time.
Perth adds a few of its own. Older double-brick homes often have narrow internal doorways and tight hallway turns, outer-suburb blocks can mean a long driveway or side path between the truck and the front door, and apartment buildings in East Perth, West Perth and Northbridge usually need a lift booking and a loading bay slot.
Tell us about access at both addresses when you request your quote, so it is priced in from the start rather than discovered on the day.
| Access at either address | Effect on your quote |
|---|---|
| Ground level, truck at the door | Standard rate |
| First-floor walk-up | Surcharge per flight |
| Three or more floors, no lift | Higher per-flight surcharge |
| Apartment with lift | Standard rate, possible lift-booking premium |
| Narrow doorways or hallways | Extra disassembly may be needed |
| No truck parking or loading zone | Variation may apply |
| More than 20m from truck to door | Long-carry charge may apply |
Mention long driveways, side access, gate widths, lift bookings and strata rules at both addresses so the quote reflects the real access.
A standard house move covers protecting, loading, transporting and placing your belongings. Packing is a separate service, so you can pack everything yourself, book a full pack, or have the crew pack only the fragile items and the kitchen.
| Extra | What it covers | How it is booked |
|---|---|---|
| Packing service | Crew packs your belongings into boxes before the move | Added to your quote |
| Fragile-only packing | Glassware, crockery, mirrors and artwork packed by the crew | Added to your quote |
| Unpacking | Boxes unpacked at the new home | Added to your quote |
| Full disassembly and reassembly | Beds, tables and modular furniture taken apart and rebuilt | Added to your quote |
| Storage between homes | When settlement or lease dates do not line up | Arranged separately |
| Extra transit cover | Goods-in-transit cover above the provider’s standard policy | Priced through the provider’s insurer |
| Flat-pack assembly or wall mounting | Building new furniture or mounting TVs at the new home | Separate handyman booking |
Disassembly needed to get an item out of the house safely is part of the move. Boxes the crew packs are covered in the normal way, while damage inside boxes you pack yourself is only covered where the crew handled them negligently.
Some items need extra people, extra equipment or a specialist provider. List them when you request your quote so the right crew turns up, because a provider who is not equipped for an item has to decline it on the day.
| Item | How it is handled |
|---|---|
| Upright piano | Surcharge, and only moved by a piano-equipped provider |
| Grand piano or safe over 50kg | Specialist quote and equipment |
| Pool table | Surcharge, with specialist disassembly |
| Fridges, washing machines, dishwashers | Surcharge per item, moved upright, transit bolts fitted to washers |
| Marble or stone furniture | Surcharge, moved flat with extra support |
| Antiques and large mirrors | Surcharge, extra wrapping and bracing |
| Aquarium | Surcharge, and it must be completely empty |
Empty and defrost the fridge, and have any gas or plumbed appliances disconnected by a licensed tradesperson before moving day. For the full list, see items removalists can’t take.
House removals booked through Urgent Pro start from $220 including GST. That minimum covers a small job: a single item or a very small part move, one provider, standard metro distance and up to an hour on the job.
Whole-home moves cost more because they take more people, more truck space and more time. As a guide, they commonly sit between about $600 and $3,000 or more, depending mainly on the inventory, the access at both ends and the distance. Your quote is built from the details you send, so the more accurate the inventory, the closer the final price stays to it. For a Perth breakdown, read what Perth removalists actually cost.
| What changes the price | Effect on your quote |
|---|---|
| Bedrooms and inventory volume | The main driver of truck size and time |
| Crew size | Two or more movers for whole-home moves |
| Stairs, lifts and long carries | Surcharges at either address |
| Distance between addresses | Standard rate up to about 30km, then per km |
| Specialist items | Defined surcharge per item |
| Packing, unpacking, disassembly | Added when you request them |
| After-hours or weekend moves | May attract a premium |
All prices are GST-inclusive. Payment is collected by Urgent Pro as authorised agent on behalf of your provider, and your tax invoice shows your provider’s name and ABN. If there is more to move on the day than you listed, your provider stops and contacts us, and we contact you before any extra charge applies. Read how quote changes are handled.
Removalists are not legally required to hold insurance or accreditation in Australia. Urgent Pro sets its own standard before any provider takes a booking.
Every provider holds at least $10 million public liability cover, verified before activation. It covers damage to property, such as walls, floors or a building’s lift, rather than the goods being moved.
Cover for your belongings while they are on the truck is the provider’s own goods-in-transit policy, and limits vary between providers. Ask for the policy details before moving day, and extra cover can be priced through their insurer.
Note visible damage on the inventory at delivery and report it within 48 hours. Hidden damage found while unpacking can be reported within 7 days of delivery.
Urgent Pro applies operating benchmarks aligned with the Australian Furniture Removers Association (AFRA). AFRA accreditation is recognised but not required, so ask your provider directly if membership matters to you.
House removals suit anyone moving a household rather than a business: renters changing properties, homeowners buying and selling, families upsizing and people downsizing into something smaller.
In Perth that includes renters moving between rentals before a vacate clean, families moving from an inner-city apartment to a house in the suburbs, and downsizers moving from a family home into a smaller unit or townhouse.
House removals are available across the Perth metro area, from Joondalup in the north to Rockingham in the south and from Fremantle and the coast to Midland in the east. Local providers move households from Subiaco, Leederville, Mount Lawley and Scarborough to Wanneroo, Morley, Victoria Park, Canning Vale and Fremantle.
Moves within about 30km between addresses sit inside the standard metro rate. Longer moves are charged per kilometre, and interstate moves are quoted separately.

Your move is carried out by an independent local removalist, not by Urgent Pro. Before any provider is activated on our platform, we verify:

Your provider operates their own business and carries their own insurance. Urgent Pro acts as their booking agent only.
Your Booking Confirmation will include your provider’s name and ABN.
On moving day your provider walks through the inventory with you before loading, and you sign it off at the new home.
Moving out of a rental is more than the move itself. Once the truck is loaded, book a vacate clean in Perth for the empty property, and our guide to booking the move and the vacate clean together sets out the order that works.
Furniture and appliances you are not taking can go before moving day with rubbish removal in Perth, so you only pay to move what you keep. For the weeks before the move, the full moving house checklist covers the rest, and the house removalists across Australia page explains how the service works in every city.
House removals start from $220 including GST for a single item or a very small part move. Whole-home moves commonly cost between about $600 and $3,000 or more, depending on the inventory, the crew needed, stairs and lifts at both addresses, the distance and any packing or specialist items.
The quote is built from your inventory and home size, which set the truck and crew, then adjusted for access at both addresses, the distance between them, specialist items and extras such as packing or disassembly. After-hours and weekend moves may attract a premium.
Your provider sets the truck and crew from your inventory and access. A single item can sometimes be moved by one person, but most whole-home moves need at least two movers, and larger homes or difficult access may need three or more.
Yes. Moving blankets, protective padding and tie-down straps are part of every house move. Door jambs, floors and banisters are padded at both addresses, and extra wrapping is used for antiques, mirrors and other fragile pieces.
Disassembly needed to carry an item out safely is part of the move. Full disassembly and reassembly of beds, tables and modular furniture can be added to your quote. Assembling new flat-pack furniture at the new home is a separate handyman booking.
Yes, unless you book a packing service. Have boxes packed, sealed and labelled by room before the crew arrives. Damage inside boxes you pack yourself is only covered where the crew handled them negligently.
Yes. A full packing service, fragile-only packing or unpacking at the new home can be added to your quote. Boxes the crew packs are covered in the normal way under the provider’s cover.
Yes. Fridges, washing machines, dryers and dishwashers carry a surcharge per item. They are moved upright and washers need transit bolts fitted. Empty and defrost the fridge first, and have gas or plumbed appliances disconnected by a licensed tradesperson.
Yes. Stairs are charged per flight, and a carry of more than about 20 metres from the truck to the door, common on larger suburban blocks, adds time. Narrow doorways in older double-brick homes may mean some furniture is partly dismantled to get through safely. Share photos of both addresses so the quote reflects the real access.
Yes. Lift access usually keeps the standard rate, though a lift booking may add a premium. If the truck cannot park close to the door, or the carry is longer than about 20 metres, extra time is charged. Book the lift and a loading zone with your building manager and share the times.
Book as soon as your moving date is set, so your preferred date and time are easier to lock in. Short-notice moves are often possible, subject to provider availability and the size of the move.
Every provider holds at least $10 million public liability cover, which covers damage to property rather than your belongings. Cover for your goods in transit is the provider’s own policy and limits vary, so ask for the details before moving day. Visible damage must be reported within 48 hours and hidden damage within 7 days.
Gas bottles, flammable liquids and fuels, ammunition, illegal items, live animals and aquariums that still contain water. A provider can also decline an item they judge unsafe to move. Pianos, safes and pool tables need a suitably equipped provider.
Yes, as separate bookings. Rubbish removal clears furniture and household items you are not taking, and a vacate clean gets the old property ready for the final inspection. Book them for after the move so the clean happens in an empty home.
