From Expression of Interest to Your First Job

Five stages. Here is exactly what happens at each one — what you do, what we do, and what to expect.

Stage 1

Expression of Interest

Submit your EOI using the short form. We run an automatic pre-screen to confirm you have the right to work in Australia, hold an ABN, and carry public liability insurance. Applications that do not pass are not progressed to the full application stage.

Stage 2

Full Application

Successful EOI applicants receive a full application form by email. This collects everything needed for identity verification, insurance verification, and agreement preparation. You will upload your documents at this stage.

  • Government-issued photo ID uploaded

Stage 3

Staff Verification

Our team manually reviews your application against the verification checklist. Every item is checked before verification is confirmed. If additional information is needed, we contact you by email before making a final decision.

  • ABN confirmed active on the Australian Business Register
  • ABN registered name matched to application
  • Insurance Certificate of Currency reviewed — coverage and expiry checked
  • Photo ID reviewed and matched to applicant name
  • Banking details confirmed complete
  • Workers compensation verified where team size requires it

Stage 4 — Mandatory

1-Day Company Induction

Every provider completes a mandatory full-day induction with one of our Area Managers before taking on any bookings. This applies to all providers regardless of experience and cannot be skipped.

  • Warranty, complaints, and escalation procedures

During the induction, our Area Manager will assess your capability to carry out competitive, quality work. If additional training is required, we will discuss this with you directly — duration depends on your assessment outcome.

Stage 5 — Go Live

Agreement & Activation

Once verified and inducted, you receive portal access and the Independent Contractor Agency Agreement for e-signature. When signed, your account is activated and you start receiving work.

Training & Induction

The Induction Is Mandatory — Here's What to Expect

Every provider must complete a 1-day induction with one of our Area Managers before going live. It sets you up to succeed from your very first booking.

Mandatory — all providers

1-Day Company Induction

A full day with your Area Manager covering everything you need to operate professionally — policies, platform, quality standards, customer interaction, safety, warranty, complaints, and conduct. This is how we make sure every provider delivers great work from day one.

May apply — assessment-dependent

Additional Capability Training

During the induction, your Area Manager will assess whether you can carry out competitive, quality work to our standards. If additional training is required, it will be discussed with you directly. Duration depends on the assessment outcome. Training fees apply where additional training is needed and are payable in advance.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens if my application doesn't pass verification?

If our team identifies issues with your application, we will email you to request additional information before making a final decision. If your application does not pass, you will receive written notification. You may reapply once the issue has been resolved — for example, once your insurance has been renewed or the required documentation is available.

Do I need to be GST registered?

Yes. GST registration is required for all Urgent Pro providers. You are responsible for lodging your own BAS returns and managing your own tax obligations. We recommend using an accountant familiar with sole trader requirements.

Can I apply if I don't have insurance yet?

You can submit an expression of interest and we will follow up with guidance on getting covered. However, a current Certificate of Currency is required before your application can be processed and before you can be activated. Applications without insurance are placed in a nurture sequence until insurance is confirmed.

Can I work for other platforms or clients at the same time?

Yes. You operate as an independent contractor running your own business. There is no exclusivity requirement. You are free to provide services to other clients, through other platforms, or directly to your own customers at any time.

Am I an employee of Urgent Pro?

No. You operate as an independent contractor running your own business. Urgent Pro acts as a booking agency that connects you with customers. You manage your own tax, superannuation, and insurance obligations.

What if I need to cancel a booking I've already accepted?

Contact us immediately. The sooner you notify us, the better — we need time to find a replacement provider for the customer. Late cancellations may incur charges as set out in your Independent Contractor Agency Agreement.
